I want to share a little about my love for literature and what I’ve been reading lately.

I don’t read a lot, but when I still have a bit of energy before bed, I give myself 15-20 minutes to dive into a book. I usually read digitally, but having a shelf filled with colorful spines and enchanting titles brings me so much aesthetic pleasure.

Recently, I finished One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

You’ve probably heard of it. The title alone stirs something inside you, doesn't it?

There’s a term in literature called "magical realism" - when something magical happens in the middle of everyday life, and no one finds it strange. That’s what makes it so special. In Latin America, miracles are just part of reality. In the rest of the world, a miracle is something that breaks the natural order and demands attention.

Someone once asked Marquez why he writes this way. He answered, “I don’t write like this. This is my reality. The reality of my people.”

And I felt it. The story was strange, dense, enchanting. Like a dream you don’t want to wake up from.

After reading it, I immediately felt the urge to head to Latin America to see it with a renewed perspective… or at least find another book filled with that kind of magic.

I won’t spoil the Buendia family saga. If you know it, you know. And if you don’t but feel curious, you’re in for something unforgettable.

Do you read? Is there a book that changed you, or one that just stayed inside your heart for a long time?

Don't be shy. Write in the comments! I read everything you send me 🖤
