My dad wasn’t always there for me, but late in life, he has been. I am thankful he’s been around as I’ve become a dad myself. But he wasn’t really there to show me how to be a good dad. I’ve had to learn all of that all on my own. Luckily I’ve had an amazing wife who really believes in me. She didn’t have a good dad herself. He’s not in our lives at all for good reason. So I’m thankful she’s given me the opportunity to be the dad I always wished for. The dad she always hoped for.
So for those of your who don’t have a dad and really need one in their lives— I see you and I’m here for you. Once a dad, always a dad.
