When I told her I didn’t do the dishes earlier because I wanted to play with the kids she gave me the best smile. Because she knows that I can’t do chores all the time. My kids deserve a dad who likes to play and have fun too. Over the weekend I heard something said and it made me realize what my tag line is. “If your dad sucks then I’m your daddy now.” Picking up slack for the dads who just can’t or won’t be there is where my heart is.
